(Washington, DC) - Congressman Baron Hill will hold a Southern Indiana Job Fair this Saturday, June 13, 2009 in Scottsburg.  The event will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will be held at Scottsburg High School.  WorkOne is partnering with Hill on this event and will be offering resume-building and job search assistance.

“I know many folks in Southern Indiana are looking for employment,” Hill said.  “Particularly during this time of economic downturn, I want to do my part to help hard-working Hoosiers find jobs.  I’m asking all Southern Indiana businesses and job seekers to attend my 2009 Southern Indiana Job Fair.”

Several area businesses have registered thus far.  All job seekers are welcome to attend and the event is free.  Questions and concerns about the job fair should be directed to Hill’s Jeffersonville office, 812-288-3999.

“This is going to be a great event for businesses and job seekers,” Hill said.  “I’d ask more businesses to register and those looking for employment to mark this event on their calendar.”
