(Washington, DC) - Congressman Baron Hill is pleased to announce that Perry Central Community School Corporation has been selected to receive funding under the Safe Schools / Healthy Students Grants Program administered by the U.S. Department of Education.  The grant will be in the amount of $729,132.00. 

According to a release issued by the Department of Education, the Safe Schools / Healthy Students Grants Program funds are to be used to provide students, schools and communities the benefit of enhanced comprehensive educational mental health, social services, law enforcement, and, as appropriate, juvenile justice system services that can promote healthy children development and prevent violence and alcohol and other drug abuse. 

“I am very pleased the Perry Central Community School Corporation has secured this significant grant,” Hill said.  “This is a critical program that merits such funding.”
